Cable Modems which are using the WinUAE driver have a problem where they lock up in the #98h mode and won't come out of it. The WinUAE driver has been replaced with DragonFlyBSD's vsysan driver and the problem should be gone. I've also made some other changes but didn't track them down yet :P.
The BBS is now running on a bbsd box which is running FreeBSD 12-CURRENT. It's however not running correctly yet. I know it's definitely not running correctly because auto-attempts to run it just get me "No file exists" errors. I might have to contact the remote service provider to figure out what the problem is, but as I don't know their system or service setups, I wouldn't know how to proceed.
I've changed everything to use the Samba4 library instead of Samba3. This has made the build process similar to the regular compile for FreeBSD and work much smoother. The Samba4 build process is a bit more complex, but the Samba project has many different parts that can improve the build from different directions of why the build failed in the first place. It's also great to have both RPC and smbcli/smbget integrations at the same time and having consistent error messages when it fails. d2c66b5586
