All the examples included below are representative of such waltzes and it's worth noting that while ragtime waltzes usually feature a theme in the key of A, following the Do-Re-Mi sequence (see below), ragtime publishers often began each of the waltzes in A, even if they were written (or published) as waltzes in C.
