The command is automated and basically means to: Generate player configuration from the default configuration and the `client_info_present` parameter (get this with `get_player_config_json()`) Spawn a server as specified by the `-s 0` argument (one server, localhost) Spawn a player configuration as specified by the `-t 1` argument (callback) and the `-s 1` argument (new callback)
For demonstration purposes, we'll use the default (and fast) fork, using localhost:4006. You should be able to make a server on any port, but the callback issue makes this a lot simpler. You can use the https://github.com/communication-framework/shotdown on your server.
The server will now spin up. You can use Ctrl-C to stop it (or `killall` or whatever to stop it). Note that the timeout is actually set to 5% * 2 of the server's regular timeout (5 minutes, where the timeout in your `pocakmon.ini` file is 3000 seconds). This makes the server crash quickly if you try to spawn too many players. The server will refuse to spawn any players due to config error. This includes concepts like registering, joining, kicking, being banned from specific servers, viewing the best battles and games, and so on. These concepts are also explained in the documentation.
Download the repository. I recommend downloading the source directly from GitHub. Its named master for a reason. It's recommended to use the "Open in Desktop" method again, indicating that you opened in a folder. Ensure that the folder ends in.zip. The primary location for new development is here . d2c66b5586
