It's easy to set up the graphical tool to you way of working, but you need to invest a little time into understanding the toolbars to allow you to do all the various functions you need with it. I also found it took a while to learn how to use the sliders as it's easy to get cross-eyed when looking at them, and sometimes have trouble with the zoom function, which can be found in the top right corner (the faders don't have this button, but you can use multi-touch gestures to zoom in and out).

It has been a trial and error exercise in finding the best interface to use, and there are several methodologies to control the V-Control Pro. I found the best solution was to scroll down from the top of screen to bring up the left-hand side menu and use the multi-touch screen gestures on the SmartCel to navigate. This has the added benefit of using my iPhone's trackpad to scroll, which is great when the onscreen controls are onto another application.
